It is my distinct pleasure to welcome you to jury service on behalf of the judges of the Lake County Circuit and Superior Courts, and I hope you will find the experience rewarding. Effective January 1, 2003, the revised Indiana Jury Rules became effective and created a ONE DAY, ONE TRIAL system for the entire State of Indiana. If you are called to serve, your term of service will end after jury selection is complete and you are released by the court OR after the trial you have been selected for has ended and you are released by the court. Please be aware that should you be selected for a jury, the trial may last for several days. The average jury trial length in Lake County is 2-3 days. 		Indiana Supreme Court Interpreter Certification Program 2007 The Indiana Supreme Court is now accepting registration forms for the 2007 Interpreter Certification Program. Indiana’s program is divided into four-steps including two instructional stages (Orientation and Skills Building) and two testing stages (Written Exam and Oral Exam). The REGISTRATION FORM for the interpreter orientation that will be held in Lake County on October 17-18, 2007 is now available.
