GENERAL INFORMATION
Directions:
Lake
County and County Divisions 1-3
The Lake County
Government Complex at 2293 North Main Street houses both courts. The Complex is located 2 miles south of
Route 30 on State Route 55 (Main Street) in Crown Point.
County Division Courts 1-3 are located on the
first floor of the Administration Building. The Lake County court assignment convenes in the
Auditorium in the Courts Building. Click on the MAPQUEST LINK for a detailed map

PARKING: Free and plentiful parking is available on the SOUTH
SIDE of the Government Complex in front of both the Administration and
Courts Building
Hammond
The Hammond Courthouse
is located at 232 Russell Street in Downtown Hammond.
232 Russell Street is one block east of
Hohman Avenue. Click on the MAPQUEST LINK for

PARKING: Is available in
the street, to the east of the Courts Building and in the lot directly north
of the Courts Building.
East Chicago
The East Chicago
Courthouse is located at 3711 Main Street
in East Chicago. Click on the MAPQUEST LINK for

Gary
The Gary Courthouse is
located at 15 West 4th Avenue across the street from City
Hall. Click on the

PARKING: A parking garage is located just
west of the Courthouse in Gary. Please remember to bring your summons to
obtain free parking.
OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
Court Hours:
The Office of the Court Administrator office is open 8:30
a.m. - 4:00 p.m. The Criminal Division
courts close normally at 4:00 p.m. and the Civil and County
Division Courts close at 4:30 p.m.
Prior Service:
If you have served on a LAKE COUNTY jury panel within the last
year, you may be excused. Please
provide proof of service or contact our office.
Attire:
Proper dress attire is required (no shorts, tank tops or halters, etc.)
Inclement Weather:
In case of inclement weather, listen to your local radio station WJOB or
WGN-TV for any cancellation or court delay information.
Meals:
The court will provide meals for jurors in trial. Coffee and donuts are provided in
Crown Point during juror selection. A
cafeteria is located at the Crown Point Complex for your convenience.
Verification of attendance:
Upon request jurors may obtain a certificate of service as attendance
verification for their employer.
